Love Cafe
120 S Hill Ave, South Hill VA 23970
This event will be hosted on February 24th at the Love Cafe in South Hill, Virginia. It will run from 12pm to 2pm. Everyone is welcome!
Debra Fields, creator of The Holistic Honeycomb, will be hosting an informative session on holistic medicines healing properties, and the best methods for herbal integration in our beverages and foods. Most importantly, this session will cover an introduction to farming and cultivation, creating business plans and making value-added products such as soap, bath bombs/salts, tea or seasoning blends, butters, etc.
Debbie Fields started her naturopathy venture in 2015 after she moved to West Virginia and noticed the negative effects of the opioid epidemic first hand. She wanted to make a positive impact and create an alternative for people to take back control of their health. She began by studying aromatherapy and herbalism at The Alaska School for Oriental Medicine. In 2018, she furthered her education by continuing her studies at Centre of Excellence where she graduated with my Masters of Herbalism degree. Currently, she is still studying in the field of advanced herbalism. "I enjoy being able to heal my family and friends with only what our Creator gave me. I enjoy spreading this knowledge to others so that way they can be self sufficient so that way they can take control of both their health, and more importantly their lives," says Debra.
This program is hosted in collaboration with the Association of American Indian Farmers and the National Womens Farming Association.
