Allen Boyd to Testify at Congressional Hearing
WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Tuesday, Congressman Allen Boyd (D-North Florida) will testify before the Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment regarding the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint (ACF) water sharing issue. Following the hearing, Boyd will hold a press conference call with Florida's stakeholders to discuss the ACF issue and respond to testimony from the hearing.
Boyd will serve on the Members' panel during the congressional hearing entitled "Comprehensive Watershed Management and Planning: Drought-related Issues in the Southeastern United States." The hearing will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m. EST, in Room 2167 of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.

The congressional hearing will consist of three panels: a Members' panel to include Congressman Boyd; a Federal panel of representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service; and a Stakeholders' panel, in which Kevin Begos, the Executive Director of the Franklin County Oyster & Seafood Task Force and a member of the Apalachicola River Riparian County Stakeholders Coalition, will testify on behalf of Florida's stakeholders.
At the congressional hearing, Boyd and Begos will be joined by members of the Apalachicola River Riparian County Stakeholders Coalition: Joseph (Smokey) Parrish, Franklin County Commissioner; Dave McLain, Coordinator of the Apalachicola River Riparian County
Stakeholders Coalition and Senior Policy Director of the Apalachicola Riverkeepers; and Chad Taylor, one of the representatives from Jackson County on the Riparian Coalition.
